STARC (SITAR) has diversified in to MEMS Technology, with the technical know-how from SSPL, for the development of MEMS devices for STARC (SITAR) has been developing and manufacturing MEMS products for nearly 10 years. STARC (SITAR) has a dedicated MEMS fab for manufacturing 6” (150 mm) wafers, packaging and testing with state of art facilities. STARC (SITAR) is actively collaborating with MEMS design centres of user laboratories and academic institutes to strengthen the design capabilities.

MEMS packaging facility was added in 2017. State-of-the-art Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) facility and conventional packaging facilities were established. Several custom packages for the MEMS devices were developed in the LTCC facility.

Complete in-house analytical, metrology and test capabilities for characterizing MEMS Devices have been established. Complete Environmental Test Facility, except EMI/EMC testing, has been established at STARC for environmental qualification of all the products.
